We want everyone to be able to use this website. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. This statement is voluntary and reflects our own review. The site has not yet been independently audited.
What we have done
- A “skip to content” link and a logical heading structure on every page.
- Full keyboard operation, with a visible focus indicator, including the menu, policy filters and photo viewer.
- Text alternatives for informative images, and decorative images hidden from screen readers.
- Text and background colours chosen for strong contrast, and text that resizes with browser settings.
- Animations are switched off for visitors who set their device to reduce motion.
- Labelled form fields with clear error and success messages.
Known limitations
- Our policy documents are PDFs converted from Word files. Some may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
- Videos on the project pages do not have captions or transcripts. The background video on the home page is decorative.
